Mike Przygoda is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and
educator around Chicagoland.  He holds a B.F.A. in music
composition from Columbia College Chicago where he studied
with Sebastian Huydts.  As a composer, he has written
numerous works for chamber ensembles, films, dance,
theater, jazz ensembles, marching bands, and rock bands.  His
works have been performed at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and
in cinemas across the country and in France.

As a performer, he has played with a variety of ensembles
from rock bands to hip hop groups, jazz quartets, to pit
orchestras.  He toured as a musical director for the Second
City during 2005 and is quite active performing in the
bands/pits for Chicago theater.

As an educator, he has taught private lessons since he was in
college in a variety of instruments.  He served as an instructor
for several competitive state ranked marching bands from
1999 - 2004, and taught at DayJams in 2006.

Presently, he writes for and leads his chamber-rock band, The
Cynics, is producing several recordings for local Chicago
artists, arranged orchestral music for The Lira Ensemble,
performs all over the place, and sleeps once in awhile.
